Our participation at the golf tournament on July 27, 2011 was a success! Thanks to all who participated - there were about 85 golfers and 20 charities. We raised about $1300.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to our fundraiser and made it a success! We netted nearly $34,000! We are so grateful for your support.
The next event that we have going on is participation in the 2nd Annual Kay McVey Supports Charity Golf Tournament on Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 at the Bear Creek Golf Club. This event will include opportunities for us to network with guests & other participating charities through a display table and supper, as well as raise money through an activity at our golf hole. Golfers can eat a steak dinner and golf for FREE (thanks to Kay McVey sponsors), so you can afford to donate to your favorite charities! We are giving away a hot air balloon ride to one lucky donor.

Our next banquet fundraiser date has been set for Saturday, May 7 (2011) at the Five Mile Hall. Speakers will be Mark & Judith Washington. Mar k is a former Montreal Alouettes and BC Lions football player, and is currently the BC Lions defensive backs coach. Read more at http://www.bclions.com/page/staff-mark-washington.
Doors open at 6:00, supper starts at 6:30. Tickets are $35 this year, so get yours early! Seats are limited. Pick up tickets at our office, from Shepherd's Fold, or from one of our Board Members.
If you or your business is interested in sponsoring our event, contact Esther at the office. Sponsorship costs $400 and you will receive advertising for a year on our website, your name in the event's program and powerpoint slideshow, and 4 complimentary tickets to the fundraiser.

On March 30, 2011 we received our 3rd United Way grant. This year it was for $10,000! With some preferred giving the total comes to almost $11,000. We are so thankful.

Our fundraiser on June 11 was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who came, donated, participated, etc. We were able to raise $46,600! Wow. This will go a long way toward helping us with our operating costs.
On March 31 we were awarded $5000 from GP United Way for our 2010 allocation.
