Burden Bearers is a Christian, non-profit counselling agency dedicated to enhancing the physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being of those who come to us for help. Our mission is to provide professional counselling and education based upon accepted biblical and therapeutic methodologies to those hurting and in need. However, we respect every person's faith journey.
Counselling is by appointment only. Please call our office to book. We are often booking 2-4 weeks ahead. Thank you for your patience.

Fees:
Our hourly rate is currently $90.00. If you are unable to pay the full amount, please discuss your financial situation with your counsellor. We have some subsidies available.
You may have coverage through your work, so check your benefit plan requirements! You may be required to see a psychologist or social worker if you want to be reimbursed. (Plans such as ASEBP, Great West Life, and Manulife will cover a psychologist or social worker; Blue Cross, CanWest, Standard Life, Sunlife, and Generations will only cover a psychologist.) We have a psychologist on staff (James Walker) two days per week as well as a social worker (Marci Copes-Genereux) on Tuesdays.
You may also have an Employee Assistance Plan that we can direct bill for your counselling. Those appointments have to be set up by phoning your EAP company, and then they will refer you to a counsellor in their network. We currently work with Ceridian Lifeworks, CPG/Janus Associates, Homewood Human Solutions, HumanaCare, Organizational Health, PPC Canada, and WCB.
